Apple’s annual back-to-school offer launched today and is good until September 8, 2009. Any students holding out for a new computer and iPod can jump on this offer. Although the article only mention the US, the back-to-school offer also applies to Canada (in CAD).

A good (short) read for anyone who is haunted mind-numbing meetings.
Over the past few years, I’ve found myself jumping between server-side torrent clients. When I say server-side torrent client, I mean a headless server setup (likely Linux), which is running a torrent daemon that is accessible through a web-ui.
First I tried Azureus, because it was recommended by a friend. The Azureus community wiki is a great resource of information, but I really dislike Azureus’ Vuze and its do-everything-but-forget-what-you-are bloat.
Then I tried Transmission (Clutch being the integrated Web-ui). Transmission is my choice for OS X and their GUI is great under Gnome. However, I could never get the Linux client to transfer over 20kb - I must be a special case, because I’ve heard lots of positive comments about Transmission under Linux.
Today, I tried a new torrent client called Deluge. I’ve never heard of it before and only found it through Google. I have to say, the installation and web-ui setup was a breeze and transfers are blazing along. The Web-UI is rich and allows you to change more settings than ever needed. If you are looking for a new headless client, I highly recommend Deluge.
Nothing overly new in this article, but it’s a good recap of what other people also think.

An interesting and cute idea.
